I Corinthians 15 is an excellent reading for those interested in being prepared for the eternal abode of our immortal spirit. This chapter assures us if we are obedient to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and remain faithful until death we can be saved from our sins.
Verses 3-8 tell us the resurrection from the dead by Jesus Christ is an historical fact. Verses 22-23 says, “For in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn; Christ, the first fruits; then when he comes, those who belong to him.” Verses 42-43 say, “So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.” Verse 50 says, “I declare to you brothers, that flesh & blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.”Here are some of many Scriptures that tell us about the final judgment to come.
Matthew 25:31-46, II Thessalonians 1:6-10, II Peter 3:1-15, and Revelation 20:11-15. After reading these scriptures, it becomes evident our spiritual security should be a top priority. The immortality of our spirit demands it. Have you taken advantage of everlasting spiritual security offered by Jesus Christ our Savior?
