If you are tired of sinning, Jesus can give you rest. But if you still enjoy sinning, Jesus will not be very appealing to your carnal mind. If you feel like an alien in this world, Jesus can give you a genuine home. But if you are comfy in this world, then you would feel out of place with the Savior Who was not of this world. (John 17:16)
Friends, please hear the Lord Who pleads with you through His servants and yours. “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
“Hear” the Word of God so you can have saving faith: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31), instead of trusting yourself or other mortal men to save you from the mess of this world. “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” (Psalms 118:8)
“Repent”, or you will surely perish (Luke 13:3), no matter how good you may appear to be. A change of heart and direction is necessary if you want to change your final destination. Not too late for second thoughts.
Confess your faith in Jesus, so that He can confess you on the Last Day (Matthew 10:32,33). Jesus did not waver when He stood before Pilate, the noble Roman (I Timothy 6:13). Why be afraid to confess the One Who loves You?
“Be Baptized” so your heavy sins can be washed away forever (Acts 2:38; 22:16). Immersion in water is a fitting burial for the old man of sin. Why continue on in this world of bondage when God has a Land of Promise awaiting those with enough faith to leave Egypt?
If you know what to do, please do it today.
