Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
Get Rich Forever !
Thomas W. Woody

How would you like to become rich? If so, please allow me to be your personal financial advisor for just a few moments today. If you are willing to invest in the following plan, you will become rich beyond comprehension, for we are talking today about “unsearchable riches!”

Now I realize that you have probably been offered “get-rich-quick” propositions before which just turned out to be “spend-money-quick” schemes. Or maybe a friend has offered to let you in on “the ground floor" of some incredible new venture, only to leave you holding the bag in the basement while only a chosen few ever got on the elevator. And possibly you have even tried your luck at some form of gambling like the lottery, only to discover the hard way that it is just a tax for people who didn’t do well at math.

But my proposition is not another phony scam of man. We are talking about an eternal plan devised before the foundation of the world from Jehovah God, the Creator of every precious metal and stone in the universe! He wants you and me to be truly rich in the way that really counts!

Please read and consider what the Ruler of the universe has to say about the dangers and flaws of earthly riches:

“Will you set your eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.” 1

“They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; none of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:” 2

“For riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.” 3

“ I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happens to them all.” 4

“There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: a man to whom God has given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he lacks nothing for his soul of all that he desires, yet God gives him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eats it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.” 5

“People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." 6

“And Jesus looked round about, and said unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!” And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again, and said unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God!" 7

“Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming upon you. Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look! The wages you failed to pay the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter. You have condemned and murdered innocent men, and they did not oppose you.” 8

“Like a partridge that hatches eggs it did not lay is the man who gains riches by unjust means. When his life is half gone, they will desert him, and in the end he will prove to be a fool.” 9

“The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him: Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.” 10

“Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.” 11

“He that trusts in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.” 12

“But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 13

“A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked.” 14

“ Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivers from death.” 15

“ If therefore you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?” 16

How we use earthly wealth is important to God, and if we want to be rich forever, we need to keep money and possessions in proper perspective. But the investor who has an eye on true wealth will never find it in the corruptible commodities we see on earth. We must look at the unseen; the eternal spiritual realm, and there we will find the truth about being rich forever. Read carefully the following teachings concerning true riches and their superiority to earthly gain:

“ I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.” 17

“Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things you can desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour.” 18

“Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.” 19

Wisdom that makes a person truly rich forever is found in the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, of whom the Apostle Paul spoke when he desired this of the Colossian brethren; “That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” 20

“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! 21

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: .... In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” 22

“That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” 23

Paul had a place in the eternal plan of God, and once he was sold on Jesus, he spent the rest of his time on earth proclaiming the “unsearchable riches of Christ” 24, and praying that all who were in Christ would open their eyes and see by faith “the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.” 25

How about you, my friend? The odds are against you ever hitting the big jackpot when it comes to money, even in America, most financially prosperous country on earth.

But you can be truly rich in faith when you are “in Christ.” All the dollars in the world won’t buy you an inch of heaven, or keep any part of you out of hellfire; but faith is the spiritual currency God always accepts! How is your faith account?

You don’t need to take your chances and be a contestant on a game show to become rich. You just need to come to the Source of every good and perfect gift.

You won’t be asked a whole list of questions either. The only question you will be asked is, “Do you believe with all your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?”

Jesus became poor so you could become rich.25 Why not trust Him now, confess your faith in Him, repent and be baptized for the remission of your sins? You can be rich forever!
