"The Camp of the Saints"
Jeremiah Morris

"And they went upon the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city" (Revelation 20:9).

A simple look at a daily newspaper makes society's present downward slide abundantly clear. Tales of horror are a dime a dozen with no end in sight. Though each generation witnesses its own time of trial, Christians must not be caught unaware.

"Sound the battle cry! See, the foe is nigh," goes the song we fervently sing while amongst fellow soldiers; yet, many comrades have fallen while outside the camp. Our day of trial appears to be upon us because the momentum of present society is like a steamroller, ready to crush whatever God's children hold dear. Take faith, and heed the pleadings of Christ to, "hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown" (Revelation 3:11). With the enemy about us, it is time to take the reigns of Christianity and anchor in Christ, so that we may not faint in the day of adversity. (Proverbs 24:10) The future is not for the weak-hearted, for Satan is a powerful and determined foe who is "seeking whom he may devour" (I Peter 5:8).

The battle cry is out, fellow soldiers, calling us to fight for Christ our Lord. We implore you to arise and focus with unfeigned faith to the task at hand. "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (Ephesians 6:10, 11). "But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13).
